Call to Worship

This Is Amazing Grace

Who breaks the power of sin and darkness
Whose love is mighty and so much stronger
The King of Glory, the King above all kings
Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder
Who leaves us breathless in awe and wonder
The King of Glory, the King above all kings

This is amazing grace This is unfailing love
That You would take my place That You would bear my cross
You would lay down Your life That I would be set free
Jesus, I sing for All that You've done for me

Who brings our chaos back into order
Who makes the orphan a son and daughter
The King of Glory, the King above all kings
Who rules the nations with truth and justice
Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance
The King of Glory, the King above all kings

Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave (3x)

TOday's Announcements

Here are a few critical announcements to keep in mind:

  • All Church Campout: We are excited to announce that we'll be hosting an All Church Campout at Mount Madonna County Park over the weekend of July 23rd-25th! We have a huge group campsite all to ourselves and lots of options in the park for having fun together. Whether you love to camp or you'd rather still sleep in your own bed, we have something for everyone . . . so please click here to learn more and sign up!
  • First Sunday Family Service - Next Week!: As things continue to open up, we've now established a First Sunday Family Service rhythm. While families are certainly welcome to join us in-person every Sunday, on the first Sundays of each month we especially invite our families to prioritize gathering together in-person with the rest of the church body.  (Please Note: We will NOT have the online zoom class during these First Sunday Family Services.)  NEXT FIRST SUNDAY FAMILY SERVICE: JULY 4, 2021.  To learn more about the in-person Sunday Service, go here.  If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Christina Lugo at  .
  • COVID-19 Updates: As the state of California reopened further on June 15th, we are now relaxing our policies concerning COVID-19 to better align with these new guidelines.  You can learn more about these changes on our COVID-19 Updates page.  If you have any questions, please contact us at .
  • Mercy Hill Kids Online Worship: Mercy Hill Kids is meeting today at 11:45am (both Preschool and Elementary class). Go here to read more and to find a link to sign in!  For more information, please contact Christina Lugo at   .
  • All Church Prayer - Tonight!: Our All Church Prayer meeting is usually held on the first and third Sundays of each month.  But due to conflicts with holidays (Father's Day + Fourth of July), we've decided to shift the schedule a tad.  We will take the holidays off and instead meet to pray TONIGHT from 6:00-7:30pm in-person at the Wilson residence (click here for directions).  After that, our next meeting will get back into rhythm on the third Sunday of July (July 18th).  Thanks for understanding!  If you have any questions, please contact us at .
  • Home Groups: Many of our Home Groups have moved to a hybrid (in-person + virtual) format.  Whatever your comfort level with meeting, you're welcome to come check one out.  Find one to join here.  You are not alone!

Call to Response

1.  Sing:

How Deep the Father's Love for Us

How deep the Father’s love for us,
how vast beyond all measure
that He should give His on - ly Son
to make a wretch His treasure.
How great the pain of sear - ing loss.
The Father turns His face away
as wounds which mar the Cho - sen One
bring many sons to glo - ry.

Behold the Man upon the cross,
my sin upon His shoul - ders.
Ashamed, I hear my mock - ing voice
call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held Him there
until it was accom - plished;
His dying breath has brought me life.
I know that it is fin - ished.

I will not boast in an- y - thing:
no gifts, no pow’r, no wis - dom.
But I will boast in Je - sus Christ:
His death and resurrection.
Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an an - swer.
But this I know with all my heart:
His wounds have paid my ransom.

Power to Redeem

You take what is
And you make it beautiful
When love floods in,
We're restored forever more

With breath that brings the dead to life,
With words that pierce the dark with light
Only by the blood are we set free.
With mercy strong to carry shame
and nail it to a tree
You alone hold the power to redeem.

No guilt competes
with innocence crucified.
No grave can hold what your grace has justified.

Rejoice oh child of God
Lift your eyes to see
With every morning light,
Again we are redeemed

Mercy Hill Kids

While difficult, this pandemic does create a wonderful chance for parents to step towards their God-given call as chief disciplers of their kids.  We know this may feel overwhelming and that is why we want to help!  Parents of Mercy Hill children should have already received an email from the Director of Mercy Hill Kids, Christina Lugo, regarding ways you can utilize the Gospel Project curriculum at home.  This information has also been included on our blog here.  Beyond this, most Sundays, we are also hosting an online worship gathering for our kids.  You can check here for more details.  We'd love to have you join us!

If you have any questions or need help in any way, don't hesitate to reach out to Christina at

Have a Wonderful Week!
