As a golden state native, I was raised in the bay area for the majority of my childhood. After high school, I ventured to Southern California where I spent the next 13 years of my life. It was there that I encountered and really realized God’s extreme love and provision for me. His faithfulness graciously persisted as I, and my now husband, met, married, and started our family. Our two sons are now grown and continue to bring us joy.
I had the privilege of growing up in a God–fearing home and was saved by grace at a young age. As the Lord has brought me through various stages of my life, He has continually taught me what it means to die to myself daily and live for Him. With Scripture as my guide, I am constantly filtering every moment of my life in an attempt to glean God’s purpose and ultimate glory. Through his grace and guidance, He reveals more and more of Himself to me each day. “Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” (Phil. 2:12b-13).
When the Lord brought our family back to the Bay Area, we searched for and attended several churches. The day we visited Mercy Hill still resonates so clearly in my mind as I remember taking in the people, community, and Christ-centered teaching, truly sensing God’s call that we were home. Our community is in our community! 24 years later and we are still here.
On any given day, you will find me walking our neighborhood, sewing, quilting, cleaning, embracing the joy of grandparenting or just plain serving others. One of my favorite pastimes is to sit back at the water’s edge, whether it be pool, ocean or lake, and soak in the knowledge of God’s awesome power and love.
”Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness" (Lam. 3:22-23).

As I grow and wait on the Lord, this verse has become a cornerstone in my daily walk. I am grateful for His faithfulness and provision in my life.

Name one person who's had a significant influence on you and tell us why.
As a child, my parents were the ones who introduced me to the Lord in a real and tangible way. They were the ones who sat with me and took me through the Gospel in a way that just made sense. Never did I feel silly with my questions. I always knew that they loved me and am grateful for the foundation in the Lord that they nurtured.
What's one fun fact you could share with us about yourself?
I've always liked to be creative. When I was little, I made a "pin cushion" for one of my mom's co-workers and I included a very detailed, elaborate, "instruction sheet" how to properly use it, in case she didn't know. lol.
If you had to pick your favorite spot in the Bay Area, what would it be and why?
My favorite spot anywhere in the bay area is near water. I enjoy sitting by the pool, lake or ocean.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you "grew up"?
I always knew that one day, I wanted to be a mom. At one point, I thought about being a teacher and quickly learned that after becoming a mom, I was already a teacher!
