"Everyone in one."
At Mercy Hill, our desire when it comes to groups is that we'd have "everyone in one." The culture, especially here in the Bay Area, is becoming increasingly fragmented, with separation and isolation now the norm. We build walls—around our houses and around our hearts. But Jesus, in the gospel, breaks these walls down (Eph. 2:13-16). And in their place he builds community. We need one another. We were created for relationship with God, yes of course! But we also were created for relationship with one another (Gen. 2:18). We cannot, we must not, go it alone.
So if our goal is to have "everyone in one" . . . are you? If not, you can explore the current offering of groups by clicking the links below . . .
Home Groups
Home Groups are the heartbeat of our church. They are the place where our values of Faith, Community, and Mission gain traction in the everyday. They are small, typically intergenerational, groups that meet regularly to break bread, seek God in his Word, share hearts and lives, and pursue avenues of service and witness in the surrounding neighborhood and city.
DNA Groups
DNA Groups are one of the main ways we do discipleship here at Mercy Hill. They are smaller groups of committed people who meet on a consistent basis to Discover, Nurture, and Apply Christ together until he is all in all. DNA Groups are usually kept much smaller than Home Groups (and can even be composed of just two people meeting one-on-one). They are, therefore, more versatile and intimate.
Mercy Hill Meetups
At Mercy Hill, we cherish anytime God's people get together—whether to study the Scriptures, watch a good movie, share a warm meal, go for a hike, serve the city, or something else. Mercy Hill Meetups are those groups that don't fit the standard Home or DNA Group models but are important and essential to the lifeblood of our church nonetheless.
