TOday's Announcements

Here are a few critical announcements to keep in mind:

Family Sunday

Though Mercy Hill Kids is now back up and running in-person each week, on occasion, we will hold Family Sundays where children sit in the service with their parents.  We know this can be a bit challenging for parents, but we also recognize that it is a very good thing for kids to participate with the larger church family in worship. To help, we will provide coloring sheets and pre-packaged crayons for you to make use of. The Mother's Room adjacent to the Sanctuary is a space families can utilize as well if necessary.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Christina Lugo at .

Good Friday - Special Study!

For Good Friday this year, while we don't have a special service, we have put together a special study for all of our Home Groups to make use of if they desire.  If you are not a part of a Home Group, this would be a great week to jump in!  Find a group to join here

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at  .

Ever Wondered? - Sunday, April 24!

We are looking to launch a new perennial sermon series entitled Ever Wondered?  We plan to preach a new sermon for this series about once every quarter.  On these particular Sundays, we'll tackle tough questions that those skeptical or curious about Christianity might be asking—questions like:

Where can I find lasting happiness?
Why should I trust the Bible?
Aren’t Christians all hypocrites?
Don’t science and faith contradict each other?
If God is so good, why is there so much pain in the world?
Etc.

Sound exciting?  We hope so!

The first sermon in this series is scheduled for the Sunday following Easter (April 24).  On this Sunday, we'll try to answer the question: Who Was the Jesus of History, Really?  Please do prayerfully consider whom God would have you invite!

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at

TOday's Announcements

Here are a few critical announcements to keep in mind:

All Church Hangout - After Service Today!

Meaningful community is hard to find in Silicon Valley, even in the church.  Our congregation is spread out all over the city. But there is one day of every week when we all commit to gather together and worship our God: Sunday. It seems strategic to take this pre-existing momentum and work with it in an attempt to develop deeper community within our body. Therefore, on occasional Sundays throughout the year we will invite the church to enjoy picnic-style afternoons together immediately following the service.

This Sunday's Plan:  After service, bring or buy your lunch and join us at the tables out back for a picnic-style afternoon.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at .

Easter Sunday!

Please join us for a special service on Easter Sunday as we celebrate the morning our Savior broke free from the grave!  Light snacks and refreshments will follow the service as well as an Easter egg hunt for your kids.  Whether you're just curious about Christianity or you've been walking with Jesus for a long time, we'd love to see you there!

Ignite Conference

The Ignite Conference by ISpectra (Igniting Multicultural Discipleship) is Friday and Saturday, April 29th and 30th. There will be 6 speakers, 30 breakout sessions, exhibitors, multicultural creative arts, a Concert of Prayer and fellowship. It is for all followers of Jesus who seek to answer God's call to make disciples of all peoples, near or far. This conference will inspire and equip you to reach across cultural and ethnic barriers to share Jesus with others and will help unify the Body of Christ as we learn how to work together with others. The cost is $45 before April 8 ($25 for students) and includes two lunches and one dinner.

For details and to register go to igniteconference.info.
We are also looking for volunteers to help.

Foster the City - Call for Support Friends!

As many of you may know, the Knepper family has been diligently pursuing becoming foster parents!

Would you prayerfully consider becoming a support friend to the Knepper family? Welcoming a child into your home comes with many joys and many sorrows. As a way to help families avoid burnout, Foster the City has come up with a wonderful plan to come alongside foster parents through the process. This involves four committed friends that are ready and willing to tangibly serve, lift burdens, and pray!

Some of the ways a support friend cares for a foster family is through cooking meals, running errands, babysitting, providing date nights, sending words of encouragement, prayer, and so much more. Training for this role is provided and your commitment lasts through the duration of at least one child placed in their home. What a joy to have the opportunity to serve the orphans in our community!

Sunday Prayer Walk

We will be gathering after service today at 1:00pm to do a prayer walk in the local neighborhood! So grab lunch after the service, and consider joining us to pray for our neighboring community, as we hope to have the opportunity to share the gospel with those who are open and ready to engage. We'll have a brief time before the prayer walk to discuss what to pray for, so we invite anyone regardless of experience to join and learn.

Mercy Hill Kids - Online Today!

Due to the pandemic and the varying comfort levels each family has with their kids attending class in-person, we have established a rhythm for Mercy Hill Kids that allows for both online and in-person worship.  On the first and third Sundays of each month, Mercy Hill Kids has in-person instruction for Preschool and Elementary children (2 years thru 5th grade).  On the off-weeks, Mercy Hill Kids meets online.

Note: Lord willing, this will be the last online class as we will be moving everything to in-person beginning in April!!!

Today's class is ONLINE.  It begins at 11:45am.  Go here to read more and to find a link to sign in!

For more information, please contact Christina Lugo at  .

Mercy Hill Kids - Calling All Volunteers!

As we look to ramp back up our in-person kids ministry, we'd love it if you'd prayerfully consider joining the team. Your involvement would allow us to do more. We see ourselves as missionaries sent by God to these kids. What a great pleasure and privilege it is to play a part in reaching them with the good news of Jesus!
