Good morning Mercy Hill and happy Sunday to you!  If you're new with us, we just wanted to extend a special welcome to you.  Feel free to fill out a Connection Card to get more info or prayer.  We're glad to have you with us!

TOday's Announcements

Here are a few critical announcements to keep in mind:

COVID-19 - Change in Guidelines!

As you probably now know, Santa Clara County has recently updated their guidelines regarding the wearing of masks indoors.  Here is a quote from their latest update

"Effective March 1, 2022, the requirement that unvaccinated individuals mask in indoor public settings will move to a strong recommendation that all persons, regardless of vaccine status, continue indoor masking."

As a church we will follow this new guideline.  That means that, beginning this Sunday, we are not requiring that you wear a mask in our services, but you are certainly still free to do so.

At this point in time, we ask that children participating in our kids classes DO wear a mask while indoors, though, as the weather warms up, we plan to provide more and more unmasked time for them outside.

Thank you for understanding and supporting one another in all of this.  Let's commit to stay united around the cross together, masks up or masks down!

Mercy Hill Church Directory Update!

We're updating our church directory! The directory is for anyone who calls Mercy Hill their church home and would like to share contact info with others. This document is private and only shared with those included in it (meaning: we only share your info with those who also have chosen to share their info with you). As we update and share this directory, we hope you will be encouraged to flip through, pray, and reach out to others within the church as God leads.

If you would like to be added to the directory (or if you need your info updated), please select the appropriate option on a Connection Card and fill in your info.

If you have any questions, you can contact Jill LeMoine at  .

Daylight Savings Time - Spring Forward Next Week!

It's that time of year again.  Don't forget to move your clocks forward one hour next week or you might find yourself walking in late!

Mercy Hill Youth Hangout - Next Week!

All Mercy Hill Youth (6th thru 12th grade) are invited to join us after service next Sunday, March 13th at 12:30pm.  We'll have time for fellowship, prayer, and getting in God's Word.  And we even plan to provide some pizza!  Weather permitting, we'll meet at the picnic tables in the pavilion around the back of Allen at Steinbeck Elementary.  See ya there!

Helping Afghan Refugees!

There are hundreds of Afghan refugees coming to Santa Clara county who need help getting settled. They have many needs, such as transportation, help finding housing, writing resumes, finding jobs, setting up homes, etc. This is a great opportunity to build relationships with them and to show them Jesus' love and hopefully open doors for spiritual conversations. There are two options for Mercy Hill to be involved: (1) If we have a few people or families interested, they can sign up, will receive coaching, and will get a list of specific needs that they can volunteer to meet.  (2) Or if we have 4 to 5 people or families, we could adopt one family. We would like to find out how many people would be interested in helping. We are not asking for a commitment yet.

If interested, please contact Becky Durstenfeld at .

Mercy Hill Kids - In-Person Today!

Due to the pandemic and the varying comfort levels each family has with their kids attending class in-person, we have established a rhythm for Mercy Hill Kids that allows for both online and in-person worship.  On the first and third Sundays of each month, Mercy Hill Kids has in-person instruction for Preschool and Elementary children (2 years thru 5th grade).  On the off-weeks, Mercy Hill Kids meets online.

This Sunday's class is IN-PERSON.  Kids can be checked in to their classes before the start of service and can continue there until the service ends. Our Nursery is not currently staffed but we do have a Mother's Room adjacent to the Sanctuary where parents can care for their littlest ones.

Note: We will NOT have the online zoom class on these first and third Sundays.

Mercy Hill Kids - Calling All Volunteers!

As we look to ramp back up our in-person kids ministry in March, we'd love it if you'd prayerfully consider joining the team. Your involvement would allow us to do more. We see ourselves as missionaries sent by God to these kids. What a great pleasure and privilege it is to play a part in reaching them with the good news of Jesus!

Members' Meeting - After Service Today!

All covenant members (and those in process) are invited to join us for our biannual Members' Meeting!  Please find the details below:

When is it?  After the service on Sunday, March 6th from 12:30-2:00pm.  (Note: There will be an optional Q&A afterwards for any who'd like to participate.)
Where is it?  We'll meet outside at the picnic tables in the pavilion around the back of Allen at Steinbeck Elementary where we hold the services.
What about lunch?  There will be a free sandwich lunch available (from Jersey Mike's) for any who RSVP.  If you have certain food allergies or prefer something else, we ask that you please secure that yourself.  Sorry!
What about kids?  Kids are welcome too, of course, though you should know that we currently do not plan to have childcare.  They will need to be under your supervision during the meeting.  (Note: There is a playground right off of our meeting space they can use if you'd like.)

If you are not currently a covenant member, but are interested in becoming one, you can read more about the process here!
