November 8, 2020 - Sunday Service Worship Guide
Welcome!
Good morning Mercy Hill and happy Sunday to you! If you're new with us, we just wanted to extend a special welcome to you. Feel free to fill out a Connection Card to get more info or prayer. We're glad to have you with us!
- If you are attending in-person, and you haven't already registered, please do so here. In order to comply with the county's guidelines, we need to do our best to keep record of who joined us each Sunday. Thanks for your understanding!
- If you're tuning in for the Live Stream, we'd encourage everyone to please consider taking a moment to put a comment in the chat box there. Let us know who you are and maybe where you're tuning in from. Say hi. We miss you! And as we get into the message, feel free to share other Scriptures that come to mind, prayer requests that you have, questions that you'd like answered, etc. It would be great to interact even in this limited format.
Call to Worship
Because of Your Love
Jesus you endured my pain
Savior you bore all my shame
All because of your love
Maker of the universe
Broken for the sins of the earth
All because of your love
All because of your love
Because of your cross my debt is paid
Because of your blood my sins are washed away
Now all of my life, I freely give
Because of your love, Because of your love I live
Innocence and holy king
You died to set the captive free
All because of your love (2x)
Lord you gave your life for me
I will give my life to you
All because of your love (2x)
You did it for me, you did it for love
It’s your victory, Jesus you are enough
TOday's Announcements
Here are a few critical announcements to keep in mind:
- Teen Challenge Thanksgiving Outreach: The Young Adults small group is coordinating a Thanksgiving outreach event for Teen Challenge! Join them on Saturday, November 21st to bless 30 adults and children at the Alum Rock Women and Children's Center with a delicious early Thanksgiving dinner. You can help out by signing up on the spreadsheet here to bring a dish of your choice, drop off your dish at Allen and Steinbeck at 5 PM, and the Young Adults group will head over with all the dishes and also pray for those at the center. For those unable to provide a dish but would still like to support, we will be collecting monetary donations through Mercy Hill - you can put a note on your giving indicating that you would like your offering to go towards 'Teen Challenge.' These donations will be going towards their thrift store, which is in need of recarpeting. You can also donate gently used home goods and clothing to their thrift store if desired. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at .
- Mercy Hill Youth Hangout: All Mercy Hill Youth are invited for an in-person hangout on Sunday, November 15th at 1 PM! Come spend an hour after service and lunch catching up in fellowship, prayer, and sharing - we will be meeting at the picnic tables where we host our Sunday worship at Allen and Steinbeck. Plan to wear a mask so we can follow social distancing guidelines as well. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at .
- Mercy Hill Kids Online Worship: This begins at 11:30am today! Go here to read more and to find a link to sign in!
- Home Groups: Many of our Home Groups have moved to a hybrid (in-person + virtual) format. Whatever your comfort level with meeting, you're welcome to come check one out. Find one to join here. You are not alone!
- COVID-19 SOS Form: If you or anyone you know needs help during this challenging time, we'd love to do what we can! Fill out the form here.

Call to Response
1. Sing:
Build My Life
Worthy of every song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for you
Jesus a name above every other name
Jesus the only one that could ever save
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for you
We live for you
Holy there is no one like you
There is none beside you
Open up my eyes in wonder
Show me who you are
And fill me with your heart
And lead me in your love
to those around me
I will build my life, upon your love
It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust, in you alone
And I will not be shaken
Cornerstone
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust is Jesus' name
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Savior's love
Through the storm
He is Lord
Lord of all
When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil
When He shall come with trumpet sound
Oh may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless, stand before the throne

Mercy Hill Kids
While difficult, this pandemic does create a wonderful chance for parents to step towards their God-given call as chief disciplers of their kids. We know this may feel overwhelming and that is why we want to help! Parents of Mercy Hill children should have already received an email from the Director of Mercy Hill Kids, Christina Lugo, regarding ways you can utilize the Gospel Project curriculum at home. This information has also been included on our blog here. Beyond this, each Sunday, we are also looking to host an online worship gathering for our kids. You can check here for more details. We'd love to have you join us!
If you have any questions or need help in any way, don't hesitate to reach out to Christina at
Have a Wonderful Week!
