Call to Worship
Your Glory
My life is Yours My hope is in you only
My heart You hold
'Cause You made this sinner holy
Your glory is so beautiful
I fall on to my knees in awe
And the heartbeat of my life
Is to worship in Your Light
Your glory is so beautiful
Your glory is so beautiful
Glory, glory, Hallelujah Jesus You are good
TOday's Announcements
Here are a few critical announcements to keep in mind:
- GO! Team Survey: The Mercy Hill GO! Team (our outreach team) would like to gather your interest and participation with LOCAL and GLOBAL organizations. Can you take a minute and answer a few questions about your familiarity and engagement with key local organizations and your interest in people and part of the world? We will be using the information to set our outreach priorities as a church. Thank you in advance for your participation. Fill out the survey here. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Bob at
- Mercy Hill Men's Hike: Men, let's get out and sweat together! Join other brothers from Mercy Hill on Saturday, August 28th at 9:00am for a hike at Quicksilver County Park. We'll be meeting at a trailhead off of the Hacienda entrance on Almaden Rd (click here for directions). The hike should be about 3.5 miles—enough to burn but not totally destroy ; ) Be sure to bring plenty of water. To RSVP so we know to expect you, click here. For any questions please email Paul Walton at .
- Sunday Prayer Walk: We will be gathering after service next Sunday, August 22nd at 1:00pm to do a prayer walk in the local neighborhood! So grab lunch after the service, and consider joining us to pray for our neighboring community, as we hope to have the opportunity to share the gospel with those who are open and ready to engage. We'll have a brief time before the prayer walk to discuss what to pray for, so we invite anyone regardless of experience to join and learn. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Chris Keener at
- Communion Elements: We will be taking communion together immediately following the sermon. We have prepackaged elements at the Welcome Table. If you haven't already picked them up, feel free to do so now. For those joining virtually, please plan to have those items ready as well.
- Mercy Hill Kids Online Worship - IN-PERSON TODAY!: We now plan to have in-person instruction for Preschool and Elementary children (2.5 years thru 5th grade) on the FIRST + THIRD Sundays of the month. (Note: We will NOT have the online zoom class on these Family Service Sundays.) For more information, please contact Christina Lugo at .
- Members' Meeting - AFTER SERVICE!: Today after the service, all Covenant Members are invited to join us for our biannual Members' Meeting! We'll meet at the picnic tables in the pavilion around the back of Allen at Steinbeck Elementary where we hold the services. There will be a free sandwich lunch available for any who RSVP'd (from Jersey Mike's) and childcare for children 2.5 years thru 5th grade (held outside in the Mercy Hill Kids' classroom). Lunch will start at noon where parents can eat with their kids. The meeting will begin promptly at 12:30pm and go until around 2:00pm with an optional Q&A afterwards for any who'd like to participate. We hope you can make it! If you are not currently a Covenant Member, but are interested in becoming one, you can read more about the process here! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at .
- All Church Prayer: This Sunday's All Church Prayer meeting will be hosted in-person at the Wilson Residence from 6:00-7:30pm. Please go here for more info. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at .

Call to Response
1. Sing:
Holy Spirit
There's nothing worth more
that will ever come close
No thing can compare
You're our living hope
Your presence Lord
I've tasted and seen
of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free
and my shame is undone
Your presence Lord
Holy Spirit You are welcome here
come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory God is what our hearts long for
to be overcome by Your presence Lord
Let us become more aware of Your presence
Let us become experience the glory of Your goodness
Jesus Paid It All
I hear the Savior say
"Thy strength indeed is small
Child of weakness, watch and pray
Find in me thine all in all"
Cause Jesus paid it all,
all to him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
Lord, now indeed I find
Thy pow'r and Thine alone
Can change the leper's spots
And melt the heart of stone
And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete
Jesus died my soul to save
my lips shall still repeat
Oh, praise the One who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead
The Blessing
The Lord bless you and keep you
Make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you
The Lord turn His face toward you
And give you peace (2x)
A - men
A - men
A - men (2x)
May His favor be upon you
And a thousand generations
And your family and your children
And their children and their children (4x)
May His presence go before you
And behind you and beside you
All around you and within you
He is with you
He is with you
In the morning, in the evening
In your coming and your going
In your weeping and rejoicing
He is for you
He is for you

Mercy Hill Kids
While difficult, this pandemic does create a wonderful chance for parents to step towards their God-given call as chief disciplers of their kids. We know this may feel overwhelming and that is why we want to help! Parents of Mercy Hill children should have already received an email from the Director of Mercy Hill Kids, Christina Lugo, regarding ways you can utilize the Gospel Project curriculum at home. This information has also been included on our blog here. Beyond this, most Sundays, we are also hosting an online worship gathering for our kids. You can check here for more details. We'd love to have you join us!
If you have any questions or need help in any way, don't hesitate to reach out to Christina at
Have a Wonderful Week!
