TOday's Announcements

Here are a few critical announcements to keep in mind:

Host International Students for Thanksgiving!

There are thousands of international students in the south bay, with the majority coming from India and China. Many of them do not know Christ yet and will never meet any Christians. Mercy Hill would like to offer international students the opportunity to meet and get to know Christians. Thanksgiving is coming up and we would like to encourage you to invite a couple or more international students to your family gathering.

If you are willing to have two or more students come join you for your Thanksgiving meal, please contact Becky Durstenfeld know at

Mercy Hill Kids - Online Today

Due to the pandemic and the varying comfort levels each family has with their kids attending class in-person, we have established a rhythm for Mercy Hill Kids that allows for both online and in-person worship.  On the first and third Sundays of each month, Mercy Hill Kids has in-person instruction for Preschool and Elementary children (2.5 years thru 5th grade).  On the off-weeks, Mercy Hill Kids meets online.

Today's class is ONLINE.  It begins at 11:45am.  Go here to read more and to find a link to sign in!

For more information, please contact Christina Lugo at   .

Mercy Hill Youth Hangout - Today!

All Mercy Hill Youth (6th thru 12th grade) are invited to join us after service today at 12:30pm.  We'll have time for fellowship, prayer, and getting in God's Word.  And we even plan to provide some pizza!  Weather permitting, we'll meet at the picnic tables in the pavilion around the back of Allen at Steinbeck Elementary.  See ya there!

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at .

Special Members' Meeting - Next Sunday (11/21)!!!

As many of you now know, we've been pursuing Joey Wang for the role of Associate Pastor at Mercy Hill.  The process has continued to go very well and we are ready to take next steps.  This involves YOU!  We are calling a special Members' Meeting to be held after the service on Sunday, November 21st from 12:30-2:00pm.  Joey will be preaching during the service and then, during the Members' Meeting, he will share more of his story and field any questions you may have.  Find the relevant details below:

When?  Next Sunday, November 21st from 12:30-2:00pm.
Where?  At the picnic tables in the pavilion around the back of Allen at Steinbeck Elementary.
What?  We'll hear from Joey and give opportunity for you to ask questions and get to know him better.
Isn't This Lunch Time?  Yup, that's why we're providing free sandwich lunches (from Jersey Mike's) for those who RSVP : ) If you have certain food allergies or prefer something else, we ask that you please secure that yourself.  Sorry!
Who's Invited?  This meeting is particularly for covenant members of Mercy Hill though all who call Mercy Hill their church are welcome to participate.
What about Kids?  They're welcome too, of course, though you should know that we currently do not plan to have childcare.  They will need to be under your supervision during the meeting.
What Happens after This?  After the meeting, we'll give a week or two for members to pray over the matter, connect with our elders, reach out to Joey, etc. . . . and then we'll bring it to a vote.  God willing, we'll hire him on before the turn of the new year!

If you are planning to join us, PLEASE RSVP HERE!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at .

Mercy Hill Kids - In-Person Today!

On the first and third Sundays of each month, Mercy Hill Kids will have in-person instruction for Preschool and Elementary children (2.5 years thru 5th grade). Kids can be checked in to their classes before the start of service and can continue there until the service ends. Our Nursery is not currently staffed but we do have a Mother's Room adjacent to the Sanctuary where parents can care for their littlest ones.

Note 1: As the weather turns colder (and wetter), we will be moving Mercy Hill Kids indoors. From now on we will have indoor classes for both Preschool and Elementary. We will require masks for all students and volunteers as well as temperature checks during check-in. We will have enhanced cleaning before and after class. During good weather, we will encourage as much time outdoors as possible.

Note 2: We will NOT have the online zoom class on these first and third Sundays.

TOday's Announcements

Here are a few critical announcements to keep in mind:

Family Service Sunday - Next Week

We currently have in-person instruction for Preschool and Elementary children (2.5 years thru 5th grade) on the FIRST + THIRD Sundays of the month. That means next week, November 7th, we encourage all of our families to once again gather with us to worship in person.  Mark your calendars!

You should know, we are going to *try* to have 2 classes (preschool and elementary) indoors this week and going forward during in-person classes.

(Note: We will NOT have the online zoom class on these Family Service Sundays.)

For more information, please contact Christina Lugo at

Daylight Savings Time - Next Week!

It's that time of year again! Be sure to fall back one hour next Saturday night and catch that extra bit of rest. Otherwise, you'll find yourself early at our service - which our setup team will love, but we all know a little extra sleep doesn't hurt!

Mercy Hill Kids Online Worship

Mercy Hill Kids is meeting online today at 11:45am (both Preschool and Elementary class).  Go here to read more and to find a link to sign in!

Mercy Hill Youth Hangout - Halloween Fun!

All Mercy Hill Youth (6th thru 12th grade) are invited for a hangout after service today at 12:30pm. During this time we'll enjoy lunch (pizza), fellowship, prayer, and even pumpkin carving! Youth are encouraged to come in costume if they have one : ) Our plan, weather permitting, is to meet at the picnic tables in the pavilion around the back of Allen at Steinbeck Elementary. See ya there!

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at

Sunday Prayer Walk - Rescheduled for Today!

We will be gathering after service today at 1:00pm to do a prayer walk in the local neighborhood! So grab lunch after the service, and consider joining us to pray for our neighboring community, as we hope to have the opportunity to share the gospel with those who are open and ready to engage. We'll have a brief time before the prayer walk to discuss what to pray for, so we invite anyone regardless of experience to join and learn.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Chris Keener at

Mercy Hill Kids

While difficult, this pandemic does create a wonderful chance for parents to step towards their God-given call as chief disciplers of their kids.  We know this may feel overwhelming and that is why we want to help!  Parents of Mercy Hill children should have already received an email from the Director of Mercy Hill Kids, Christina Lugo, regarding ways you can utilize the Gospel Project curriculum at home.  This information has also been included on our blog here.  Beyond this, every Sunday we have something for your kids, either in-person or online.  You can check here for more details.  We'd love to have you join us!
