Call to Worship
Who You Say I Am
Who am I that the highest King Would welcome me
I was lost but He brought me in Oh His love for me
Oh His love for me
Who the Son sets free Oh is free indeed
I'm a child of God Yes I am
Free at last He has ransomed me His grace runs deep
While I was a slave to sin Jesus died for me
Yes He died for me
Who the Son sets free Oh is free indeed
I'm a child of God Yes I am
In my Father's house There's a place for me
I'm a child of God Yes I am
I am chosen Not forsaken
I am who You say I am
You are for me Not against me
I am who You say I am
TOday's Announcements
Here are a few critical announcements to keep in mind:
- GO! Team Survey: The Mercy Hill GO! Team (our outreach team) would like to gather your interest and participation with LOCAL and GLOBAL organizations. Can you take a minute and answer a few questions about your familiarity and engagement with key local organizations and your interest in people and part of the world? We will be using the information to set our outreach priorities as a church. Thank you in advance for your participation. Fill out the survey here. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Bob at
- Mercy Hill Men's Hike: Men, let's get out and sweat together! Join other brothers from Mercy Hill on Saturday, August 28th at 9:00am for a hike at Quicksilver County Park. We'll be meeting at a trailhead off of the Hacienda entrance on Almaden Rd (click here for directions). The hike should be about 3.5 miles—enough to burn but not totally destroy ; ) Be sure to bring plenty of water. To RSVP so we know to expect you, click here. For any questions please email Paul Walton at .
- Mercy Hill Kids Online Worship: Mercy Hill Kids is meeting today at 11:45am (both Preschool and Elementary class). Go here to read more and to find a link to sign in! For more information, please contact Christina Lugo at .
- Sunday Prayer Walk: We will be gathering after service today at 1:00pm to do a prayer walk in the local neighborhood! So grab lunch after the service, and consider joining us to pray for our neighboring community, as we hope to have the opportunity to share the gospel with those who are open and ready to engage. We'll have a brief time before the prayer walk to discuss what to pray for, so we invite anyone regardless of experience to join and learn. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Chris Keener at
- Home Groups: Many of our Home Groups have moved to a hybrid (in-person + virtual) format. Whatever your comfort level with meeting, you're welcome to come check one out. Find one to join here. You are not alone!

Call to Response
1. Sing:
Ancient of Days
Though the nations rage,
kingdoms rise and fall
There is still one King
reigning over all
So I will not fear
for this truth remains:
That my God is, the Ancient of Days
None above Him, none before Him
All of time in His hands
For His throne it shall remain and ever stand
All the power, all the glory
I will trust in His name
For my God is, the Ancient of Days
Though the dread of night
overwhelms my soul
He is here with me,
I am not alone
O His love is sure,
and He knows my name
For my God is, the Ancient of Days
Though I may not see
what the future brings
I will watch and wait
for the Savior King
Then my joy complete
standing face to face
In the presence of the Ancient of Days
Nothing I Hold Onto
I lean not on my own understanding
My life is in the hands
Of the Maker of Heaven
I give it all to You, God
Trusting that You’ll make something
beautiful out of me
I will climb this mountain With my hands wide open
I will climb this mountain With my hands wide open
There’s nothing I hold onto There’s nothing I hold onto
There’s nothing I hold onto There’s nothing I hold onto

Mercy Hill Kids
While difficult, this pandemic does create a wonderful chance for parents to step towards their God-given call as chief disciplers of their kids. We know this may feel overwhelming and that is why we want to help! Parents of Mercy Hill children should have already received an email from the Director of Mercy Hill Kids, Christina Lugo, regarding ways you can utilize the Gospel Project curriculum at home. This information has also been included on our blog here. Beyond this, every Sunday we have something for your kids, either in-person or online. You can check here for more details. We'd love to have you join us!
If you have any questions or need help in any way, don't hesitate to reach out to Christina at
Have a Wonderful Week!
